Why this journal exists
Biochar and natural minerals are often discussed as broad categories. In practice, feedstock, production conditions, particle size, moisture, density, formulation and delivery method can all affect how a material behaves.
PCS works backwards from the application. This journal creates a clear place to share that development process and the thinking behind it.
What we will publish
Future entries will cover new experiments, grading and processing work, carbon-and-mineral blends, application trials, delivery methods and routes into more advanced carbon technologies.
We will separate measured results from early observations and future concepts. Where an outcome has been tested, we will explain what was tested and under which conditions.
- Experiment and trial updates
- Product and formulation development
- Application evidence
- Future carbon and mineral technologies
A practical view of innovation
Useful innovation is iterative. It means defining the requirement, selecting and engineering the material, validating performance and improving the route to scale.
The journal will follow that work as it develops—without presenting a hypothesis as a proven result.
